Airspace

We share the airspace with other players. Highlines can be an obstacle, particularly for helicopter rescues (REGA) and military and transport flights. Longer highlines in exposed locations can also be problematic for paragliders and small aircraft.

REGA and the military also fly to impassable areas at night, using infrared night vision equipment.

By registering and signalling, we not only protect other aviation participants, but also ourselves!

According to the FOCA, highlines are considered an obstacle to aviation if they reach a height of 25 metres in undeveloped areas and a ground height of 60 metres or more in built-up areas (green on this map).
