It is obvious that highlining must fulfil high safety requirements. These requirements apply to the equipment, the crew setting up the highline (riggers) and other airspace participants.
Highlining is statistically one of the safest mountain sports of all. Thanks to the establishment of an accident reporting system, good networking between the players and an open culture of information and education, we have a good overview of the dangers and risks involved in highlining and how we can minimise them.
